Gorovets Litigation
March 12, 2009 - The attorneys from NYLAG and the AUSA's office agreed to stay the case pending the petition for certiorari in the Robinson case, and agreed to a deadline extension until June 15, 2009 for the government's answer or motion to dismiss.

November 20, 2008 - The New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG) today filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York challenging the U.S. Citizen and Immigration Service’s (USCIS) policy of automatically denying green card applications submitted by husbands and wives of U.S. citizens solely because their citizen spouse died before the government processed the applications. The case is Gorovets v. Napolitano, No. 08-10094 (LAP) (S.D.N.Y. Nov. 20, 2008). Read the Press Release from NYLAG.
